We had a show at the Olympia theatre so we looked for a resto nearby. I came across this resto on Google and read the excellent reviews. IT LIVED UP TO THEM. Super cute and cozy atmosphere. Staff was very welcoming, engaging and friendly. As per the reviews, I had to try the celery root carpaccio and it was phenomenal ! For dinner, we had the steak frites and keela burger which were both amazing. Highly recommend and we will be back !
After a long day and flight to Montreal I just needed real food for dinner. I stayed at M Montreal hostel and this restaurant was close so I gave it a shot. Expected nothing. But this is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time and I go somewhere all the time. From warm welcome to great service, but the food... Another level... Sous vide chicken is something else... I love the vibe since is not formal, but it is chill and still nice. Top notch!!!
I randomly decided to come here for an early dinner and I’m thrilled I did. I had a cocktail, a flatbread, and the steak frites. The cocktail was underwhelming and flatbread was fine, but not noteworthy. But the steak frites was exceptional. The steak was cooked to perfection and very well seasoned. The fries were top tier: crispy, salty, hot... chef’s kiss. The staff was friendly, attentive, and just a general delight. Definitely will be back.
We found this place haphazardly before a show we were heading to and we couldn't have been more impressed. We ended up spending more time here than we thought. The decor was serious but the vibe was laid back. The food felt like it was effortlessly put together. The definition of a place that knows exactly what it's about. We got the octopus and flatbread and both were delicious! I always suggest sitting at the bar as this is where service is best...once again it did not disappoint. The prices weren't overly high either. Overall a memorable experience for what was supposed to be a quick bite. Would definitely go back for a date or with friends.
It’s a low key restaurant with live performance when we were there. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. We had the rigatoni special, chicken with verde sauce, side Caesar side and grill shrimp appetizer. My friend said the shrimp was the best he ever had. The side salad was delicious and the portion was huge. The rigatoni and the chicken were both great.
We reserved at Keela the same day because the other few restaurants we wanted didn’t have availability . We expected pub-like atmosphere but instead the whole experience was sophisticated yet young and convivial. The food was really good and creative but with a homey touch- their celery root salad was amazing, roasted fish was a plate fit for a king, and the Cornish hen took me back to my childhood. Great experience, not forgetting the hosts who were the kindest and most knowledgeable!
The food here is delicious. While the presentation isn't fancy, the flavors are outstanding! The meats are cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. I'm very satisfied with my dinner here during this trip!
Holy heck! This is a beautiful place! With lovely servers and insanely delicious food! Omg!! Oh and the cockrails! Sublime!! On Friday we enjoyed the live musician , Excellent! Great place for a celebration.Romantic dinner Or showing off Montreal's incredible cuisine . I want to become a Regular here. The atmosphere is so very incredibly nourishing. Highly recommend
